Key Responsibilities:
Business Strategy & Growth Initiatives:
- Support the COO and Head of M&A by providing structured advice on regional growth strategies, including launches, M&A, and product development.
- Lead M&A activities by identifying, engaging, and maintaining relationships with potential sellers, coordinating acquisition projects, and supporting due diligence and integration processes.
- Monitor and assess market trends and the event industry landscape to identify new event opportunities and develop launch strategies.
- Present launch proposals to the Business Development Board and oversee approved launches with the implementation team.
Existing Event Development:
- Collaborate with Heads of Cluster (HoCs) to identify growth and diversification opportunities for current events.
- Conduct market research, concept development, and P&L planning to support long-term event growth.
- Develop data strategies and engage key stakeholders to enhance event success.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (COO, HoCs, M&A teams, and leadership) to ensure alignment on growth objectives.
- Engage with external stakeholders such as sector associations, federations, opinion leaders, press, exhibitors, and competitors.
Performance Management:
- Deliver 2 new event launches or geo-clones annually.
- Recommend 4-5 acquisition opportunities per year.
- Establish processes to ensure continuous improvement of event concepts.
Key Requirements:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the events industry, business development, or project management.
- Strong strategic vision, analytical mindset, and creativity.
- Excellent commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, engage stakeholders, and deliver results.
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
