Key Responsibilities:
Business Strategy & Growth Initiatives:
- Provide structured advice on growth strategies, including M&A, launches and product development.
- Monitor and assess market trends and the event industry landscape to identify new event opportunities and develop launch strategies.
- Support the COO, the Regional Head of Business Development and the Head of M&A by providing structured advice on regional growth strategies, including launches, M&A, and product development.
- Lead M&A activities by identifying, engaging, and maintaining relationships with potential sellers, coordinating acquisition projects, and supporting due diligence and integration processes.
- Present launch proposals to the Business Development Board and oversee approved launches with the implementation team.
Existing Event Development:
- Monitor competition to detect uncovered market gaps.
- Keep track on competition landscape, visit competitor events and report relkevant changes.
- Collaborate with Heads of Cluster (HoCs) to identify growth and diversification opportunities for current events.
- Conduct market research, concept development and P&L planning to support long-term event growth.
Stakeholder Management:
- UKG Head of Business Development, Group Head of M&A, Head of Clusters, Head of sales, Head of Marketing and teams dedicated to the events.
- Regular relationship with other Business Development Team Members across the group.
- Engage with external stakeholders such as sector associations, federations, opinion leaders, press, key exhibitors.
Key Requirements:
Mandatory:
- Between 3- 5 years’ experience in the events industry and / or product development, product launches and project management.
- 3-5 experience in strategic consulting firms, would be a plus.
- Experience in making strategic recommendations at management level
- Good analytical skills, capacity to summarize market insights into actionable strategies.
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, engage stakeholders, and deliver results.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred though not essential).
